Partnering with Parents to Make Disciples with a Gospel-Centered Foundation
Radiant Kids’ aim is to encourage, equip, and empower families to meet Jesus, imitate Jesus, and share Jesus through the gospel, relationships, and service. We partner with parents, nurturing the spiritual formation of every child as they actively engage in worship, Bible study, fellowship, and ministry opportunities individually and collectively.
During our Sunday gatherings, infants – 5th graders are welcome at Radiant Kids. We pray that our children believe the gospel – the good news that God saves sinners through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus – through activity-based and gospel-saturated teaching. This includes Bible stories, music, opportunities to share, and chances to respond to God’s love with faith and action.
Parent Commissioning
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 19:14
Children are a gift from God!
Parent commissioning is an opportunity for you, parents, to commit to raising your children to know Jesus, dedicate yourselves to gospel-centered parenting, and for Radiant City to commit to come alongside you as a spiritual family to walk with, pray for, and support you on the journey.
Commissioning is celebrated during Sunday morning gatherings throughout the year, during any of our gatherings. All participating parents are asked to attend our commissioning class before the commissioning Sunday.
Parent Commissioning is NOT:
Parent Commissioning has no ability to save your child. Only the person and work of Jesus Christ can do that, and we believe that happens when one is able to repent and believe the gospel (Romans 10:9-10).This commissioning is not a baptism, and it does not impart salvation to the child. Parent Commissioning is viewed as a confirmation between the parents and the church to raise the child in a Godly way until the child is old enough to come to a knowledge of their sin, and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

She’s responsible for pursuing excellence in ministry to the children (Birth to Grade 5) of Radiant City Church by ensuring that the ministry is safe, engaging, and high quality. Victoria is married to Javier, and she loves being able to partner in ministry with him. When she’s not brainstorming new activity ideas for Radiant Kids, Victoria can be found watching movies, enjoying trips out to the mall, or going out for a run!
